To honor those men and women that have serviced our country, Oral Health Care Professionals will be providing free dental services and consultations to the Veterans of our community as a thank you for their service. All services provided on this day are FREE.

 

Free dentistry includes:

  • Exams
  • Routine Dental Cleanings
  • X-Rays
  • Fillings
  • Sealants
  • Fluoride Treatment
  • Recommendations for follow-up care

 

All work and care provided by volunteers on this day is FREE. All work is provided at the highest standard of quality and care that we would provide on any given day to our wonderful patients. Free dental services include a combination of diagnostic services, cleanings, fillings and other dental health services based upon individual needs.

 

How does a Veteran sign up?

  1. CLICK HERE to register for the event
  2. An event coordinator will be in contact with you to:
    1. Review treatment requested
    2. Schedule an appointment time
    3. Send patient dental registration paperwork
  3. Complete pre-appointment registration paperwork one week prior to the event and send a copy of Veteran ID Card (VIC)
  4. Show up 15 minutes before appointment time on the November 8, 2019

 

Veterans must produce Veteran ID Card (VIC) or similar documentation to be eligible for the event.

FAQ

 

1.  Do I have to be a Veteran to participate in the event?

Answer:  Yes. Only Only Veterans are eligible to receive dental care on the day of the event. Veterans will have to send a copy of their Veteran ID Card (VIC) or similar documentation to be eligible for the event.

2.  If I do not complete my pre-appointment registration paperwork by November 1, 2019, will I lose my scheduled appointment time?

Answer: Yes. Participates that have not completed their pre-appointment registration paperwork by the required time will lose their schedule appointment time. Due to limited number of appointments available, there will be a waiting list after appointments are all filled; for those still trying to be seen during the event. We want to make sure that those that want to be seen by our team are seen by our team.

3. I have a tooth ache and I am not sure what services I need, what option should I select?

Answer: If you are unsure what sure you need to have performed, elect the “Limited Exam” option.

4. Will the doctor extract my tooth on this day?

Answer: No extractions will be performed at this event.

5. Can I have my teeth cleaned and be seen by the dentist for other dental work at this event?

Answer: Patients see by the hygienist for teeth cleaning will have an exam performed by the dentist. If you elect to be seen by only the dentist, the dentist will perform an exam and address the most pressing dental concerns. If there is enough time to complete a dental cleaning, the dentist may perform a dental cleaning for the patient.

6. How long will my appointment time be?

Answer: Each patient will be given an appointment time of one hour. Each provider will address and treat as many conditions as they can in an hour period of time. 

7. Can I bring someone with my to my appointment?

Answer:Yes. If you would like to be bring a support person with you to your appointment, you may do so.

8. What if I need more treatment than what the dental provider can complete in one hour?

Answer: If you have any additional treatment needed after your appointment, the team will provide you with a referral form with the additional work they recommend and a list of low-cost providers and Medicaid providers in the surrounding area that can help assist in the additional treatment. You are always welcome to make an appointment with the providers at Oral Health Care Professionals to become a patient of record. (Normal fee rates would apply at that time.)
